Senior Broker
Brief info
Sam joined Runacres in 2011 from one of New Zealand’s largest insurance companies. During his time at Runacres Sam headed up our Auckland Division for 6 years, transforming it from a small agency in Botany into a full-service brokerage now based in the Auckland CBD, before returning to Christchurch in 2020 to take up a Senior Broker Role. In this role, Sam services a book of mostly Corporate Accounts, throughout New Zealand. Sam’s expertise spans all areas of commercial insurance, with a particular focus on the Motor Fleet and Heavy Machinery sectors. Sam is a qualified insurance broker holding a Level 5 Diploma in Insurance Broking through the Professional IQ College.
In his spare time Sam enjoys travelling with his wife and taking their dogs Bentley & Miko on adventures in the Christchurch Region. Sam’s other hobbies include all things sports, whether it’s watching or partaking. During the summer he enjoys a round of golf with friends and in the winter you’ll find him in the middle of a football pitch as Sam is a certified New Zealand Football Referee where he has spent time officiating Senior Football in the Auckland and Canterbury Federations.
